  4. Scramble is a simple game of logic in which you are required to solve a puzzle 
  5. by moving squares into their required position.

  7. Use the options on the Game menu to select one of the following:

  9. o selecting a level 
  10. o resetting the game 
  11. o scrambling the pieces

  21. Scramble provides three different difficulty levels of play: 
  22.  
  23. o Easy 
  24. o Medium 
  25. o Difficult 
  26.  
  27. Each level is played in the same way and requires the squares to be positioned 
  28. in their correct sequence. Depending on the level selected, the image contained 
  29. within each square will provide clues as to the square's final position. 
  30.  
  31. In the Easy level, each square is numbered from 1 to 15, which makes it easy to 
  32. determine where each square must be placed. 
  33.  
  34. In the Medium and Difficult levels, each square combines together to form a 
  35. pattern. The final pattern can only be positioned one way, but clues in each 
  36. square which help determine their final position are more obscure, depending on 
  37. the level selected.

  42. Selecting the Reset menu option will abort the current game and put each of the 
  43. squares in their final position.

  45. You can use this menu option to see what the final image looks like, but you 
  46. cannot be credited for winning a game if the pieces have been reset. To solve a 
  47. puzzle, you must first scramble the pieces.

  52. The Scramble menu option causes all of the squares to be placed in a random 
  53. position. When a game is first started, all of the pieces are placed in their 
  54. final position. You should select the Scramble menu option and then attempt to 
  55. solve the game.

  57. At any stage of the game, you may either re-scramble the squares, or select the 
  58. Reset menu option to get the computer to solve it for you.

  63. The object of the game is to position all of the puzzle pieces in their final 
  64. positions.

  66. If a square may be moved (according to the game rules), the mouse pointer will 
  67. change to an arrow indicating that the square may be moved. Left click with the 
  68. mouse on a square showing this arrow and the square will be moved into the 
  69. empty space.

  71. In this manner, each square is to be moved so that the resulting pattern of 
  72. squares forms the final pattern appropriate for the selected difficulty level.

  77. The Scramble puzzle is quite easy to play.

  79. o Each game should begin with the user selecting the Scramble menu option to 
  80.   scramble the puzzle pieces.

  82. o Only one square may be moved at a time.

  84. o A square can only be moved into an empty position.

  86. o All the squares must be in their final position for the puzzle to be solved.

  88. o You cannot use the Reset menu option during a game and expect to be credited 
  89.   for solving the puzzle.

  94. Keys available within the Scramble game include:
